As a civil engineering and environmental consultancy based in Scotland, we believe every employee deserves a wage that truly reflects the cost of living. That’s why we’ve become an accredited Living Wage Employer through Living Wage Scotland, an organisation dedicated to recognising businesses that go beyond the minimum and support their staff with fair, sustainable pay.

Why Being a Living Wage Employer Matters

It was important that we become a Scottish Living Wage Employer, as it is a reflection of our values. In line with our people-led approach, we recognise that fair pay is essential for building a motivated, respected, and secure workforce.

Our accreditation ensures that every team member at Gondolin, regardless of their role, receives a Real Living Wage—currently higher than the UK government’s minimum wage. This commitment is particularly important during uncertain economic times when stability and wellbeing at work are more vital than ever.

We’re grateful to our incredible team who bring expertise, creativity and care to every project—from flood risk assessments and SuDS drainage strategies to onshore renewables infrastructure and beyond. This accreditation is one small way we show that we value and support their contribution.
