Our team recently completed a site investigation at the Whitekirk Hill Luxury Resort in East Lothian, Scotland. The scope of work involved conducting a Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) to gather crucial information for the Surface Water Drainage and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Design.

We are also preparing a SEPA CAR Application for a bespoke Wastewater Treatment System, tailored specifically for the proposed extension of the existing resort.

During the PSI, we logged a series of Trial Pits, performed Soakaway Tests (in accordance with BRE 365 Methodology), and conducted Soil Percolation Tests (in accordance with BS 6297). Our experienced civil engineering team were also assessing the terrain and ground conditions to inform the detailed design of the roads and access routes and to develop 3D preliminary earthworks model.

It was a productive few days on site, made better by the summer weather and fantastic views of Bass Rock, home to a large colony of Gannets
